The OAK Orthopedic Sports Arena is a family ice sports complex in the Greater Kankakee Area, featuring an NHL rink, fitness center, Game Zone arcade, Advanced Pro Shop, Breakaway Cafe Concessions, and four private party/meeting rooms. Programs include Youth Hockey, Adult Hockey, Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, Curling, public skating, dorp-in hockey, freestyle ice sessions, parties, group outings, field trips, fundraisers, and other special events.

Past and present events include, St. Louis Blues Alumni Game, Ice Delights Synchronized Skate Team Demonstration, Court Street Ford Corporate Party, Bennett Commerical Monthly Sales Meeting, Kankakee Coyotes Board Meetings, Limestone Youth Football End-of-the-year Banquet, Annual Health Fair, Skate for the Gold Winter Olympic Celebration, Annual Spring Ice Show, Kankakee Valley Park District Winter Fest, Pledge for Life Breakfast with Santa, 2006 Olympian Matt Savoie Skating Exhibition, Annual Jingle Bell Bingo and Skate, Annual Dr. Suess Birthday Book Drive for United Way, Zamboni Birthday party.

OAK Sports Arena offers public skating sessions seven days a week. They are open year round. The rink sees an average of about 50,000 skaters a year. All ages are welcome.

Hours for all ages: Saturday and Sunday 1 - 4 p.m., Lunch session: Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.

After school hours - all ages: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2:40 p.m. - 4:10 p.m.

 

CLUB SK8 provides ice skating a a club-like environment, with colored lights and music : Two sessions, Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., and 9:15 p.m. - 10:45 p.m.
