The Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Center has a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists that provide a variety of outpatient services to adolescents and adults such as initial assessments for no charge, intensive outpatient treatment for substance abuse, aftercare groups, DUI evaluation, DUI risk education, and DUI support groups. Provena St. Mary’s Community Wellness and Fitness Center 8,000 square foot fitness facility with a variety of fitness equipment, resistance machines, free weights, circuit training, aerobics and personal training. The locker rooms are well equipped with showers and a sauna. The Wellness and Fitness Center offers group exercises including Pilates, Yoga, and Tai Chi, Cycling, Senior Aerobics and Strength Training classes. The degreed and certified staff specializes in helping seniors and people completing physical rehabilitation.

Provena St. Mary’s, originally known as the Emergency Hospital, was opened in March 1897 by the Sister Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary. In 1925, it was re-named St. Mary’s Hospital. In 1997, the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary combined with the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart and Sisters of Mercy of Americas to form Provena Health and the hospital name changed to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital. This merger allowed the hospital to expand its services and increase the level of complete health care.
Provena St. Mary's Hospital is a 186 bed acute care facility with a Level II Emergency/Trauma Center. Provena St. Mary’s Hospital provides many health care services such as a Regional Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Services, Family Birthing Center, Pediatric Unit, Mental Health Services, Sleep Disorder Center, Breast Health Center, Renal Dialysis Centre, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Wound Care, Infusion Center, Breast Health Center, Occupational Health, Spirit of Women Program and a Total Wellness Center.
In one of the most extensive and dynamic reformations in its history, Provena St. Mary’s Hospital completed a $2 million first floor renovation project in 2008 that enhances the patient experience of comfort and care.
