Home of the Exploration Station . . . a children’s museum, ranked as one of the Top 15 children’s museums in the United States by Child Magazine. The museum offers educational programs, birthday parties, school group and Scout programs.
Besides the Perry Farm location on Kennedy Drive, the Bourbonnais Township Park district is home to the Willowhaven Interpretative Center on Skyline Road. That facility hosts Scout programs, and is open for birthday parties and group visits.
The park district also operates the Recreation Station, 770 E. Franklin St., Bradley. Recreation programs include both youth and adult sports, summer day camps, cards and lunch for seniors, preschool programs and before and after school care.
Perry Farm has farm animals on display and is home to special events like the Movies in the Park that runs usually from June to early August, Kite Festival in August, Dog Day Afternoon in May, A Night in Sleepy Hollow in October and many other activities the entire year.

Offers an array of recreation opportunities through the Splash Valley Aquatic Park, OAK Orthopedic Sports Arena and National City’s Softball Complex, all located on River Road
Splash Valley Aquatic Park has three water slides, Lazy River, two zero-depth entry pools and a four-lane lap pool; indoor and outdoor coed youth soccer. The OAK Sports Arena offers year-round a variety of skating classes, public skate sessions, and activities.
Park district programs include aerobics, ballroom dance, tropical Latin dance, yoga, soccer and day camps.
The park district also houses the Bird Park Family Fun Station, located along the Kankakee River, where guests may enjoy the picnic pavilions, playground jungle, scenic river-walk path, quarry paddleboat rentals, quarry fishing boats, ice cream shoppe, and Splash Pad. The splash pad and paddle boats are operated noon to 7 p.m. June through early August.
Pavilions are located on eight parks.
Limestone Park District

Office location has 120 acres, including community center, three lighted ball diamonds, a T-ball field, tennis courts, and a basketball court, along with one mile of walking trails. Everything is handicapped-accessible. Playground equipment for children. The Park District also has a 16-acre park at 1498 Tower Road, with a walking trail around the park, a pavilion and a soccer field, and River Bend Park, in the River Bend subdivision in Limestone.
Assists the Little League baseball program, Limestone’s Traveling Soccer League, Limestone Girls Softball League and a youth football program, coordinated by the Limestone Lightning.
Annual events include a six-week crafts program in early June and July. The fieldhouse is open for rental for birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding receptions and other special events. $100 for residents and $200 for nonresidents.
Momence Park District

Sponsors youth baseball programs and youth football, summer concerts in the park every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. until the end of August. Also provides a tennis court at Island Park, near the park district office.
The Squawk and Oink Barbecue Festival has contestants compete in a barbecue competition. Flea market and garage sale market are also featured at the event.
